Financial Accountant

This opportunity is a fixed term contract of 12 months.
You will be Responsible for timely and accurate period end reporting of profit and loss account items for Renault Truck Commercials Ltd, part of the Volvo Group. You will reconcile assigned balance sheet control accounts, with consistent application of Volvo Financial Policies and Procedures in relation to Group Accounting and Reporting.
This is a grade 7 position.
Responsibilities:

  • Timely and accurate period end accounting for Renault Truck Commercials Ltd

  • Compliance with UK GAAP, IAS and internal Volvo Financial Policies and Procedures (FPP)

  • Reconcile all key balance sheet accounts in preparation for monthly balance sheet proof review. Investigate issues and take corrective action

  • Drive process improvement and communicate and implement change where necessary

  • Compile monthly reporting information for review by Senior Management teams in the applicable business areas.

  • Prepare analysis as required by the business to investigate the variances against plan and forecast information. Communicate to the business and follow up on any actions

  • Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of accounting systems

Qualifications required for the position:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or AAT qualified

  • Professional accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
