Lead Engineer – Seat and Seat belt

Who are we, your new colleagues?
You will belong to the Driving area team in the CAB Gothenburg section, we are responsible for the design and development of components and systems in the driving area of the cab including Controls, Pedals, Steering wheel and airbag, Steering column/shaft, Instrument panel, Door panels, Seats etc.
We are a team of independent individuals who thrive when we get to create and develop exciting and important products – especially now since we are taking steps towards autonomous driving and electro-mobility. We are very customer oriented and have many different competences that we more than often share to learn from each other.
What will be your responsibilities?
We will count on you to take great responsibility for the area of Seat and Seat belt. You will be responsible for concept, requirements and follow up of development of Seats and Seat belt for Volvo trucks. Most of the work will be done by suppliers that you lead. You will be working very integrated with other functions locally and globally whereby communication and holistic viewpoint is essential. You will also contribute to the global strategies within the field.
One of your main responsibilities will also be to continuously develop yourself, your colleagues and Volvo Trucks.

- Experience in automotive industry

- Experience from Volvo tools environment and KOLA is considered a merit
- Fully proficient in English is mandatory and additional language skills are appreciated
