Lead Engineer Climate Control

Within the Cab Climate team lays the feature responsibility for Climate comfort and engineering responsibility for the climate system. Due to a unique mix of competencies, several group members have global responsibilities in their respective areas. We participate in company-wide teams to enhance quality and build value for our truck brands.
We are now looking for a Engineer with Climate System control/regulator experience to strengthen our team.
Description for Climate system control/regulator Engineer
As a Climate system control/regulator Engineer you will lead and be part of testing and tuning activities for parameter settings for climate control regulator. The activities are done as cooperation between regulator engineer, testing engineer, feature leader and SW-developer. Testing is mainly done in truck on road or in wind tunnel or climate chamber.
Another part is to be the climate department voice in SW-development process which is mainly performed in agile team set up with same people as above. The regulator engineer is not doing any coding but should be the person to take final decisions of control behavior in daily work.
You will work globally with development of Cab climate concepts, advanced engineering projects and implementations. Your role will strengthen the Climate technology development team and contribute in the Volvo GTT vision within this area.
Requirements:

  • Academic degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Automotive Climate system and control SW development
  • Understanding to plan and analyze results from vehicle testing
  • Communication skills and team worker but also on your own without work management
  • English proficiency
  • C or CE- Truck driving license is a merit
