At the Gothenburg Boat Show on Friday, February 5th, Volvo Penta announced the launch of a new app, “Båtkusten” developed by our dealers for the Swedish market. Båtkusten is a network of Volvo Penta dealers in Sweden. In connection with the Spring 2016 boat shows, the Båtkusten app is being launched for mobiles and tablets.
The app has been developed with the aim of making boat ownership safer, easier and more fun. The owner, or even a prospective owner, of a Volvo Penta engine can easily access a Volvo Penta dealer along the Swedish coast with the opportunity to take advantage of the latest deals at their local dealers or another dealer along the route.
In addition, users will be able to see local activities and events taking place in the ports along the coast. The Båtkusten app provides boaters with fast access to practical advice, tips and tricks on boat ownership, including everything for a safer and more enjoyable boating.
As a dealer driven initiative, the Båtkusten app caters to all types of boaters - regardless of engine choice. But, there are advantages and special offers for owners of Volvo Penta engines. The app allows the boat owner to register boat model, engine type and serial number, giving them the possibility to receive targeted offers and the right help at the right time at an authorized Volvo Penta dealer.
