Purchasing within the Volvo Group

In 2022, the Volvo Group purchased goods and services totaling SEK 333 billion (EUR 31.3 billion). Purchases were made from supply partners in EMEA (50%), Americas (25%), and Asia-Pacific (25%). In its first tier, the Volvo Group has around 50,000 subcontractors of which approximately 12,000 supply parts for the Volvo Group’s products. We work closely with our supply partners to secure sustainable transport-  and infrastructure solutions to our customers as well as establish a sustainable operation for Volvo Group globally. We believe that behaving responsibly is the only foundation on which a sustainable business can be built. For this reason, the principles in our Code of Conduct and Supply Partner Code of Conduct are applied in all our purchasing processes.

Our Code of Conduct

The Volvo Group strives to ensure that unethical values are not incorporated into our products and services, and we base our work on a minimum standard in our Code of Conduct. We believe that high standards in our programme for responsible sourcing will result in high productivity and stable long-term relations, which will benefit all parties.
