What do we do?
We are responsible to secure Service Market parts availability for Volvo Distribution Centres globally in a cost-efficient way. The target is to balance right availability of spare parts to an optimized cost for transport and capital tied up.
What will you do?
We are looking for a software engineer / developer having a dual role:
1/ To steer and develop IT tools in order to automatize office repetitive tasks in accordance with Supply Chain Optimization (SCO) business needs,
2/ To support our customers by doing some operational tasks to ensure we have the right part, at the right time and at the right place.
You will be part of our Supply Chain Optimization team consisting of 120 team members globally. This role is located in Lyon. It is broad and comes with a lot of responsibility and ownership on tools development. Being service minded, proactive and a true team player is crucial to succeed in the role. You will collaborate closely with your colleagues across different countries.
- English fluent spoken and written (min 750 in TOEIC or equivalent)
- Curious & innovative mindset
- Ability to propose new things
- Having knowledge in IT tools & programming:
- Fully proficient in Excel VBA, Python or similar programming language, BI tools,
- Some knowledge on RPA (Robot Process Automation), SQL would be nice to have.
- Supply Chain / Logistics basic knowledge
