Adaptive control of fuel cell machine

Background: Volvo is committed to WWF science-based target that is related to the Paris agreement. In order to reach the target, electrification must increase and one of the technologies to reach this is hydrogen fuel cells.
Topic: A construction equipment machine is a power consuming and highly transient operations while a fuel cell is a slow reacting device in comparison to combustion engines and batteries.
Based on duty cycle the combination of fuel cell and batterie size is crucial to get a machine with the correct performance as well as keeping the cost leveled. Since the usage of the machines difference heavily depending on the tasks it is performing the system needs to be predictive in order to keep the charge of the battery and the power from the fuel cell at good level in relation to the energy consumption and the hardware boundaries.
Based on the data from machine usage you should select the most proper control strategy and propose algorithm.
You should analyze data from machine usage and develop an algorithm and control strategy that can be used in our type of machines.
