The purpose of the thesis work is to create a method to make use of available data from our process systems. It includes hereby identifying opportunities to anticipate quality defects, unplanned stops, disruptions and breakdowns. A very important aspect is to address the organizational aspect, e.g. roles, responsibilities and competence needed to use the suggested systems and methods. It also includes to identify prerequisites e.g. requirements on data quality. In the thesis work the method to collect, analyze and create basis for decisions is created. The result is to be used by different stakeholders, like manufacturing and maintenance engineers and managers, to support them in decision making such as process standards, training and equipment investments.
