This will be us - your new colleagues within HR & Other Headquarter Core Systems
HR and Other HQ Core Systems is part of the Core Platform Area SAP and Business Administration, in the Technology leg of our organization. Technology will modernize Volvo’s core digital backbone making it a platform for digital products.
HR and Other HQ Core Systems is responsible for a portfolio of 200 solutions covering HR, Legal, Compliance and Real Estate business needs. Our digital talents develop capabilities and digital technologies to improve business performance and create value for the Group with speed and at scale.

We collaborate with other parts of the organization, both in Group Digital & IT, with Truck Divisions, Business Areas and Group Functions. We foster an environment where ideas, thoughts and opinions can be shared. We are team players with clear common ambitions, and we win together.

This is how you could make an impact
You will manage a team of 10 people located in Poland, Belgium and Sweden delivering solutions for EMEA countries within the HR domain. The team consists of Architects, Solution and Delivery Leaders, Software engineers and Application support.
As Delivery Manager of the HR EMEA team, you will have full development, delivery and support responsibility for a portfolio of approximately 25 local applications such as Payroll & Benefits, Time & Attendance, Safety.

You will be an active and important member of the HR & Other HQ Core Systems management team and report to the Head of this unit.

These are the main expectations on you:

  • Attract and nurture skilled employees and develop a team that is service- oriented, quality minded but also curious, hungry to learn and to bring business value through technology

  • Manage and develop your team following Volvo Group Human Resource processes: performance management, competence development, compensation, recruitment

  • Continuously assess and improve your portfolio having the Group North Star’s strategy in focus

  • Implement an agile mindset and ways of working in the team and with the software development

  • Deliver on your KPI’s including quality, security, and stability of your deliveries

  • Ensure full financial responsibility of your products from budget and actual result

  • Promote knowledge sharing and best practice across the organization, make sure we are great in Software development!

  • Build solid relationships with main stakeholders within the user community (Mainly People Services), vendors and partners

Who are you?
You want to take your career to the next level, working with amazing people around the world and contributing to the Volvo Group digital transformation.
You have a university degree or equivalent, have a good holistic view of the Business Administration solutions, and have experience in Software development.
You are service minded and passionate about your delivery. And you want to combine your delivery responsibility with global line management.
In addition to above, you are a passionate believer in continuous learning. You should feel energized by working both managing and deliver independently, have
proven skills in cross-functional collaboration and thrive in managing, foster and enable both the perform and the transform angles of the job.
