The North America Purchasing team is an organization within Group Purchasing supporting Volvo Trucks North America and Mack brands on the purchasing related activities both on automotive and indirect purchasing.

The Electrical and Electronics purchasing department is responsible for:
  • Developing the supply chain business for Electrical and Electronics
  • Developing the supply chain business for Wire Harnesses, Active safety, HMI and Power Management
  • Supporting innovation and partnership for the future and transformative vision of the Group
  • Scouting and developing new technologies and markets
What You Will Be Doing
The Head of Electrical and Electronics Purchasing North America will be responsible for driving the performance of the department through Quality, Delivery, Cost, Features, Technology, Sustainability and Risk Management (QDCF-TSR). You will lead the US purchasing teams under your responsibility:
  • Instrument Clusters, HMI and Sensors
  • Wire Harnesses and Emobility cables
  • Active Safety and Power Management
With your team you will manage the sourcing, project, and operational activities through cross functional collaboration. Electromobility and Autonomous is a team that collaborates with internal colleagues and external partners globally, every day.

Location: Greensboro, NC

What We Are Looking For
  • Strong Electrical/Electronics strategic purchasing experience within the automotive/transportation industry
  • Prior direct management or functional leadership experience
  • Strategic thinking, judgement, and analytical skills
  • Understands future trends in the transportation industry with the ability to grasp new ideas
  • Ability to build long-term trusting relationships
  • Eager to learn and work with your own development
