Commodity & Project Buyer - Actuation

Position Description
Based in Lyon (France) or Goteborg (Sweden), you will be part of Transmission Europe Purchasing team with colleagues based in both locations and will work in a global environment with exiting challenges.
As a Commodity and Project Buyer for Actuation, you will be responsible of supplier selection, manage the portfolio continuous improvement & performance and of the supplier relationship.
Together with your purchasing and cross-functional network, you will proactively drive all relevant activities, to continuously secure a best in class supplier QDCFTSR (*) performance during the full part life cycle.
(*) QDCFTSR = Quality, Delivery, Cost, Feature, Technology, Sustainability and Risk Management.

Key responsibilities
  • Define Sourcing Strategy for your perimeter together with the Segment Leader
  • Drive all relevant activities to deliver QDCFTSR (*) targets during operations phases (production and aftermarket)
  • Lead sourcing projects and contracts to completion in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Drive commercial negotiations with suppliers
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers and ensure implementation
  • Identify, mitigate and monitor risks and supplier crisis
  • Drive cost reduction ideas generation. Lead cross functional work with other functions (engineering, logistic, manufacturing) to implement such ideas
  • Perform daily purchasing activities related to production orders, logistics and financial flows to the suppliers.
  • Actively contribute to the team development, by bringing improvement ideas, support your peers, sharing good cases and ask for support when needed

  • You have an adequate academic education, such as business or engineering background
  • You have 3+ years of purchasing experience
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience in the automotive industry is an advantage
