Career development, getting to know other cultures as well as improving language skills were also elements that contributed to the decision of being part of the Volvo Group.
As a solution architect at Volvo IT, Piotr Grzegorczyk is today responsible for managing technical quality aspects of the IT solution. He is also responsible for business requirements feasibility assessment, securing solution architecture, documenting all architectural aspects and decisions throughout the complete solution development process as well as communicating and explaining those decisions to all stakeholders.
“The number of stakeholders I interact with can be divided in two groups. Business perspective requires collaboration with customer representatives, people working with business processes and solution leaders. On the other hand, the solution perspective requires collaboration with teams responsible for application operations, solution experts and units responsible for application infrastructure and service management, to name just a few”, he says.
On the subject “best experience” during his years at Volvo, Piotr highlights the importance of recognition.
“There’s nothing that gets even close to the feeling you get when you receive a very positive feedback from your customer, after the huge effort and dedication that your team has put into successful delivery. It’s extremely gratifying.”
“I believe that one of the top things for Volvo employee is the feeling of a true contribution to the process of creating and delivering a premium quality product to the customer. Add to that a culture with engraved motivation for self-development, professionalism rewarding and respect for colleagues”, he concludes.
