System Engineer Electromobility - Electrical Distribution and Charging

Volvo Penta is now expanding the organization within the electromobility area. The role as System Engineer is a position within our Electromobility System and Components group and Electrical Distribution and Charging team. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to create something new. We need your experience and eagerness to face exiting challenges with new solutions.
Together with colleagues at Volvo Penta and within the Volvo Group, you will provide direction in driving this area from a Volvo Penta perspective. You will be involved in defining the electrical distribution and charging systems for our electromobility platform, that will be used both in marine and industrial applications worldwide.
Your focus areas within Electrical Distribution and Charging, could be:
- Charging systems and power electronics product development
- Requirements and alignment with customers and suppliers
- Simulation and development of electronics and/or electrical components
- Define, build, test, and review prototype power distribution systems
- Understand unique software functions for Volvo Penta's Electromobility applications
- Evaluation and verification of functions in test rigs, test platforms and customer applications
- Charging and EMC standards
- Drive and follow up on related quality areas within Volvo Penta, Volvo Group and with suppliers
Who are you?
To be successful in this position you are suggested to have a Master of Science and experience in the electromobility area, preferably within the automotive industry. However, to us, it is you, your personality and drive that are the most important assets.
You value customer relationships and understands that deadlines must be met and have and a genuine interest of new technology. You work effectively in a multicultural company, dealing with both local and global stakeholders. In addition, you have strong self-management skills with a high level of energy, flexibility, and satisfaction from working in teams.
