Foundational Products is part of Technology, a new function within Volvo Group Digital & IT with a big stake in the Group’s digital transformation. Technology will modernize Volvo’s core digital backbone making it a platform for digital products. Foundational Products & Chapters are responsible for API & Integration, DevSecOps, Cloud and Development Platforms. Our Foundational IT products are used by digital product teams and enable them and their products to outperform Volvo’s competitors. Our digital talents develop capabilities and digital technologies to improve business performance and create value for the Group with speed and at scale.

This is how you can make an impact

As a Product Owner in the API area, you will be a key enabler to the Volvo Group Digitalization Transformation by developing and leading a global team of high performing digital talents focused on API platforms.

You will set the vision and strategy for some API platforms while ensuring scalability, performance, security, and reliability. You will drive engagement and enablement through close alignment with teams and key stakeholders and act as an ambassador for API in the Volvo Group.

Your mission is to:

• Clarify team purpose, strategy and business priorities.
• Manage the team backlog and order and ensure that the backlog is visible, transparent, and understood.
• Secure that the product is developed and maintained in compliance within given architecture, security guidelines, and product strategy until decommissioning.
• Manage dependencies and collaborate with other teams and business partners​, as needed.
• Secure that SLAs are established and fulfilled for any solutions managed by the team
• Contribute on product roadmap and capacity planning.
• Responsible for team and culture development.

In summary we are looking for you who has:

• Solid background as a leader within the area of Integrations
• Experience from working with API management solutions like IBM API Connect, Mulesoft, Google Apigee, etc.
• Experience from a global organization
• Strong communication skills
• Stakeholder management experience

Who are you?

We are looking for you who is a natural leader that displays energy and passion for modern Integration and platforms. You ideally have solid experience from leading people in the Integration domain. You have the technical knowledge to describe and define the possibilities and benefits of API first architecture. You have a university degree in a relevant field as a backbone to your knowledge.

You always put the consumer in focus and are curious to understand the needs of the business to be able to provide the best fit for each business area. Working in a global context is something that comes naturally to you.

The right candidate will be able to think and act strategically but also to operate and implement change tactically when required, dealing effectively with ambiguity and managing changing priorities. You should be passionate about driving strategic & technological transformation in a business focused, fact-based, and collaborative way to achieve real impact. This role requires solid communication skills and a passion for leading, inspiring and developing people.
