Summary:
The purpose of this position is to conduct quality product audits to provide highly competent and technical feedback to our Manufacturing team on the quality of the product being produced to ensure safety and to verify that systems and procedures give product, and performance as demanded by our markets.
Core Responsibilities
· Product audit; audit of trucks ready for delivery, and partial audits
· Audit of a certain character/function on complete or partly assembled trucks
· Sample audit; audit of trucks in conjunction with start of production of new truck project, complex DCN: s, re-balancing, major process change or on request etc.
· Product project audits during industrialization phase; and COP
· Field Audit, Reliability Testing
· Complies with all ISO 9001 requirements
· Analyzes process quality data and trends, develops and implements corrective action plans to ensure plan effectiveness
· Conducts quality audits of post production product to measure quality standards and identify reoccurring quality issues
· Monitors all “in-process” methods and manufacturing systems, and processes and applicable procedures to ensure the production of quality parts in accordance with customer quality requirements
· Supports, participates, and measures quality-in-station practices throughout specified assembly areas through audit feedback and analysis
· Develops in-process quality verifications to address customer complaints in order to continually drive improvement
· Participates in root cause analysis of quality defects and employs problem solving skills in working towards resolution
· Drives continuous improvement by identifying quality issues, and reinforcing improvement in processes and procedures back on the assembly line in pursuit of Value Stream goals
· Provides technical support to the production staff regarding manufacturing methods, processes and equipment and implementation of new product or product changes through advanced engineering analysis and problem solving
· Collaborates with the manufacturing, materials and engineering management to implement and reinforce quality controls and processes
· Identifies and implements methods, processes and equipment using Lean Six Sigma methodology
· Interfaces with plant personnel to accomplish quality and production goals
· Uses lessons learned to develop processes to improve effectiveness and efficiency in area of responsibility
· Implements and applies engineering standards and procedures in compliance with plant practices and policies
· Participates in new product, component and or/supplier launch to ensure manufacturing readiness

· The local management will recommend auditors who have accomplished the full range of technical competencies required by the scope for certification. The local management has to test the individual in a fault finding test and a test to secure the knowledge about the rules stated in our Product Audit Manual
· Effectively utilizes reference material including: Technical Regulations; Quality Requirements (incl. Design Requirements, KOLA); Customer Satisfaction Feedback; Product Audit Manual; Vehicle specification
· Demonstrated knowledge of product and ability to effect quality repairs and final preparation

· Extensive knowledge of engineering concepts, manufacturing, the product, production standards and efficiency optimization tools; process oriented

Minimum Education and Experience
· Associate’s Degree in Technology, Mathematics or Science major or 3-5 years in an assembly and/or manufacturing environment
· Preferred: 3-5 years of product auditing experience or equivalent with a focus on engineering and production (Truck assembly preferred) and/or CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) and/or CQA (Certified Quality Auditor).
· Experience with statistical analysis and ISO a plus
· Ability to obtain CDL and DOT medical certification within one year of employment.
