Volvo Penta Nordic marine sales team is growing its business and we are now looking for someone that would like to be a part of that journey and our team. The marine sales team in the Nordics consists of highly experienced and motivated people working with sales and application within commercial and leisure marine business.

As an Application Engineer you need to be problem solving oriented, listen to and understand customer needs and technical requirements as well as being a great team player ready to collaborate and support your team colleagues and our customers.

The position is based in Gothenburg, Sweden, but involves travelling within the Nordic countries. You will report to the Sales Director for the Nordic marine sales team.

Job description

• Deliver support for marine products and installations using the Volvo Penta product and sales tools at hand
• Provide guidelines and check that installations are done according to defined Volvo Penta installation requirements
• Perform measurements and oversee commissioning of vessels
• Participate in and represent Volvo Penta at marketing activities such as exhibitions and events

Qualifications and Personal profile

• University degree in engineering
• 3-5 years experience in marine business and/or design engineering
• Experience from, and interest in, the practical operation and/or maintenance of boats is preferred
• Knowledge and interest in new power technologies such as electromobility is a benefit
• Good knowledge in both spoken and written English and Swedish or other Nordic language
• Energetic, curious, cooperative and being a team player are key qualities in the selected candidate’s profile
