Application Engineer, Marine

Mission of the Job

Provide technical support and work with sales colleagues to promote sales growth and increase market share
Main responsibilities

Technical Support

 Support sales in providing technical solutions to customers, leading technical negotiations and signing technical agreements
 Provide sales technical application support to dealers / OEMs.
 Work with sales and OEMs to identify engine application specification.
 Support OEMs the subsystem design in order to have a most effective combination with Volvo Penta Engines
 Support sales dealers/OEMs in installation of prototype and conduct installation review, provide onsite commissioning and installation evaluation including PAA test.

 Provide guidance on checking product installation and commissioning
 Create and maintain a technical database of new projects
 Provide feedback to head office on technical issues and obtain solutions
 Work with sales and business development to identify market product requirement and develop OEMs / dealers to support business growth

Training

 Deliver technical training to sales dealer, OEMs and end customers.
 Present Volvo Penta project management process requirement and negotiate with customers to follow up for customer to be along with the requirement
 Communicate with OEMs about product changes and new product promotion.

Essential educational and/or training qualifications
1. Bachelor degree or above majored in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering. Internal Combustion Engine is preferred;
2. At least 5 years technical experience in Marine engine.



Preferred Experience, skills and abilities
3. Diesel driven machine matching experience preferred;
4. Basic electronic control system knowledge preferred;
5. Proficient written and spoken English;
6. Proficient PC skills
7. Willingness to travel domestically and overseas;
8. Team work spirit with energy passion.
9. Working experience in foreign invested companies preferred.
