Volvo Group Trucks Operations is seeking applications from enthusiastic mechanically and electrically minded assemblers to join their Adaptation and Support Hub in Wacol, QLD

Working as part of a diverse and high performing team, this role will see you prepare and assemble the unique Volvo FE Euro6 Dual Control trucks for a growing Australian waste and recycling market.

  • Part of a passionate team focussed on delivering daily truck build targets

  • Demonstrate exacting housekeeping (5S) procedures at all times
  • Contribute to ‘brainstorming’ sessions in a Continuous Improvement environment
  • Operate with a ‘Safety First’ mindset, ensuring personal safety and that of fellow workers
  • Ensure compliance with Environmental Policy, Workplace Health & Safety requirements, and take any reasonable steps and precautions to protect or minimise harm to the workplace, its employees and the environment

About You:

  • Be a positive, inclusive and reliable X-functional team player
  • Have a Mechanical and/or Electrical aptitude
  • Good attention to detail and a Quality Control mindset
  • Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures
  • Hand and electrical tool skills
  • Have a Continuous Improvement mindset
  • Ability to work autonomously and flexibly when needed
  • Ability to read and work from engineering drawings and basic wiring diagrams an advantage
  • Previous experience working on vehicles, wiring and/or electrical work highly regarded
