Intern: Finance & Business Control (Spring 2022)

Summary:

Volvo Construction Equipment Finance & Business Control contributes to realizing the vision of the Volvo Construction Equipment North America by developing and providing a wide range of business control services. You will be part of a global and diverse team of highly skilled professionals working with energy, passion and respect for the individual to become the world leader in sustainable transport solutions.

Position Description:

Part-time internship supporting the Construction Equipment North American Sales Hub, particularly the working capital team, with Accounts Payable processing and the development, implementation, and refinement of business process controls.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable Processing
  • Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation
  • Key Performance Indicator tracking
  • Other duties as assigned

Critical Competencies:

  • Understanding of the 3-Way matching principle for Accounts Payable
  • Ability to work independently or with little supervision
  • Strong team player who can work independently while meeting deadlines
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Applicants must be currently enrolled and pursuing a B.S. degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, at an accredited school and have completed 30 semester hours (60 preferred) prior to starting of the internship.
  • Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office applications
