Right now, we are looking for committed Software Engineers who would like to be part of developing software for tomorrows autonomous, articulated and electrified machines and by that contribute to a more sustainable future.

This is us, your new colleagues
At Volvo CE in Braås (located close to Växjö) we are developing and manufacturing the world’s leading Autonomous and Articulated haulers. The development includes everything from specifying functionality and requirement to a tested and verified end product.

Within the Software Systems AAH team we are responsible for the software for our machines, meaning; breaking down functional requirements, setting up a sustainable software architecture, designing software and implement code. We are working in a modern environment with Enterprise Architect for UML design, C++ programming, CI/CD pipeline with Jenkins, Unit testing and Integration testing. We are also using GIT, Jira and Confluence.
Together with our colleagues at HIL- and machine test we verify and integrate the software in the machines. We have a close collaboration with system engineers as well as test and diagnostic engineers.

Who are you?
We believe it is the right mindset and attitude that will make a difference within our organization. If you are eager to learn new things and see yourself working in an environment that challenges you to combine your technical skills with a team-based attitude, then we believe you have the prerequisites to be successful in this position.

We are looking for C++ developers with experience from modelbased software design preferably in UML. Experience from embedded software development is preferred but not mandatory. The important thing is as mentioned, the right attitude and interest!
If you have experience from software architecture or are an experienced architect, that is also interesting!
We are working in an agile team setup, for us great Teamwork and collaboration is the key to success, we think that you share this belief.

To be successful in your new role you need the following qualifications:
  • M.Sc./B.Sc. degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Strong communication skills in English, spoken and written
  • You feel a profound sense of accountability for the team’s deliveries
  • You are positive, flexible and a great team player
