POSITION SUMMARY The Process Improvement Manager is a member of the Continuous Improvement Department responsible for anchoring and supporting Mack Production System (MPS) implementation, providing leadership, coaching and training on lean manufacturing principles and tools across all processes within the Mack Lehigh Valley Operations (LVO) as well as externally. The role is to lead and facilitate the implementation of MPS to drive business objectives for Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. In addition, the role will coach management and employees in developing themselves, target setting, problem solving and implementing new standardized work methods.
The individual will have a leadership role in facilitating the continuous improvement journey at LVO in manufacturing operations as well as in support functions.
Additionally the candidate will initiate and drive cross-functional projects and major kaizen activities in a successful way.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Create energy and enthusiasm for the continuous improvement journey Provide training, coaching, support and feedback to teams and individuals implementing MPS Continuously evaluate, develop and improve standard production system tools and methods Supports target setting, problem solving and standardized work Develops training material and assists in delivery of training sessions and workshops to all levels in the organization Ensure that lean tools are organized, easy to find and clear when to use with tips and training for use Drives culture change and acceptance of lean manufacturing principles across the organization by communicating and demonstrating the values and practicality of continuous improvement Manages and supports kaizen week activities and events Other Focus Area duties and tasks as needed including but not limited to preparing and presenting routine updates to leadership Benchmark other Volvo sites as well as external partners and global leaders in lean practices.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Management or related field or equivalent experience required 5-7 years of continuous improvement experience applying and coaching lean methods Experience developing and training continuous improvement tools Data analytics utilizing PowerBI, Qlik or other business intelligence tools Experience in industrial manufacturing and assembly
