You will also support process and policy improvement for systems acquisition practices related to the hardware development. With your understanding of the function for the entire Tier 1 delivery unit and on the detailed BOM, you will calculate key complexity cost drivers. You will be responsible for the Hardware engineering cost on components, and systems within the powertrain, chassis, cab interior/exterior. An additional competency is Energy and power systems, Comfort and Control, Infotainment, driver assistance, and autonomous driving. On an everyday basis, you will work with capturing the technical requirements related to Hardware engineering projects – both technically and financially. You will also be responsible for translating the technical requirements, Electric/ Electronic block diagram and the BOM of projects into an engineering cost calculation. Since you’re a true team player, you will also interact with the hardware and software team, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional peers to build up the development cost. - A degree in Electronics/Mechanical engineering or a comparable degree.
- Knowledge on understanding of Functional requirements at every stage of the project development.
- Experience of hardware project delivery in an agile environment.
- Several years of professional experience in cost calculation of hardware development work, preferably as a systems supplier.
- Experience on cost calculation in relation to legal, customer and supplier specific testing.
- Knowledge on the functionality on electric/electronic components and control units.
- Knowledge on platform-based development work.
- Strong analytical background and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience on hardware engineering cost models and tools.
