Your Challenge

Your main objective is to ensure that the project will perfectly meet the expectations of users. You lead the iterative development of a solution, you translate customer needs in close collaboration with developers, UX designers, graphic designers and you transform them into functional tools.

  • You are familiar with the embedded system world especially vehicle and connectivity functions. You well know the component development process and you have a significant experience in project life.

Who are we?

The embedded system team of the BU European Medium Duty has the complete responsibility over the electronic functions and ECU installation of the truck.
We are organized in several agile teams. Each team member develops multiple skills and can support his/her colleague on different activities.
We contribute to an extraordinary number of new features in all areas of the truck. We work for base vehicles but also electro mobility and gas vehicles.

Your mission:

As a product owner you decide what is the most important to develop. You define the development objective of the team for the coming 10 weeks and reprioritize activities in case of hardpoints.
You well know the business needs on the vehicle function scope: vehicle motion functions, connectivity… You build the roadmap of activities over 2 years and contribute to the construction of the 3-10 year system architect roadmap.
You supervise the project progress for main decisions or hot topics. The quality of the delivery of the team is under your responsibility and you define the test strategy.
In addition to this leadership role, you contribute technically to system concepts investigations for the scope of the team. This consists in QDCF analysis in collaboration with the Volvo group stakeholders.

Job requirements:
With minimum Bac+5 in engineering and 3 years’ experience as a product owner or similar roles, you have also an excellent verbal and written communication in french and english language. Your excellent communication and problem-solving skills, improve your ability in negotiation and organizational skills. Rigorous and pedagogue, you must have an eye for detail, a spirit of synthesis, responsiveness and the ability to make decisions.
