What do we do?We are the Virtual Product Development and Digital Services team within Electromobility, a dynamic section providing world-class solutions for Electromobility systems and delivering customer values for Volvo business units such as trucks, buses, construction equipment and marine applications.
Electromobility is one of the main development areas within Volvo Group and was created to be in the forefront of zero emission transport solutions for a more sustainable tomorrow.
Does this sound interesting? We want you to join us! Apply here!What will you do?You will have close cross-functional collaboration with colleagues from different parts of the organization. You along with the team will be responsible for understanding how data can support product development and product evolution using both historical data and prediction models. As Data Analyst you constantly loop your work in the organization to make sure the analysis brings value to stakeholders and is a solid base for decision making. In this role you will also cover data collection and data quality as this is an important part of the foundation to all Data Analytics and Data Science.
In parallel to being a Data Analysis you will also be the Scrum Master for two data Analytics teams. This means you are a big part of planning and following up the daily work and have a good sync with Product Owners.
Who are you?To be successful in the position, you are a team player and have strong experience in simulation and analysis area. You have automotive or electrical system development experience working in cross-functional teams. Communication skills is something that you have as well as an analytical way of thinking. You are curious and have willingness to learn and take more responsibility with a can-do attitude.
We believe that experience of Data mining and data preparations function development as well as GDPR and CRISP-DM (Cross-industry standard process for data mining) is beneficial for your success as a Data Analyst in our team.
Requirements:- Engineering (Computer science, Electrical sciences, Physical sciences, Statistics)
- A background in data science
- Programming skills (Python, SQL, R)
- Data Visualization (Qlikview, PowerBI, Matplotlib, Bokeh)
- Data collection and data preparations
- Scrum and PI planning
- Fluent in English - verbal and written
Meritorious:- Knowledge about data communication, telematics and truck services
- Vehicle system (Embedded SW) knowledge
- Knowledge of truck and bus applications
- CRISP-DM (Cross-industry standard process for data mining)
