Warranty Administration Specialist – Play a key role in administering Volvo Penta’s warranty policy, claims processing, and product registration and campaign programs. Day-to-day administration of all warranty claim processing and communication with customers and Volvo Penta business segments to insure proper and thorough review and handling of claims, registrations, campaigns, and warranty coverage. This position works closely with the Volvo Penta technical support department to resolve issues related to warranty claim authorizations to insure that Volvo Penta maintains a competitive position within the marine and industrial markets. The specific duties of this position include the following: process business partner warranty claims and supporting documents in a timely, efficient manner per published Volvo Penta policies and procedures; investigate all questionable warranty claim applications. Work with technical support personnel to ensure timely completion of warranty authorization activities. Work with reliability engineering to maintain material return programs for replaced parts and accessories. Update required returned parts list as necessary or when requested by supplier vendor recovery or case managers in Gothenburg. Work with management to develop, publish, and update Volvo Penta warranty statements, Volvo Penta warranty policies and procedures, Volvo standard time manual, warranty claim, owner registration, campaign, and other documents used to administer Volvo Penta product warranty and goodwill. Perform service administration functions including the maintenance of owner registration information by updating product center. Assist business partners with questions and solutions via e-mail or telephone regarding policy and procedures within authorization framework. Liaison with global warranty, campaign management, UCHP, and product center personnel to develop, modify, and/or update warranty systems to ensure timely, efficient, accurate processing of warranty claims, campaign claims, registrations, and/or warranty management reports. Liaisons with partner network personnel to develop, modify, and/or update partner network pages to insure accurate and up-to-date information is made available for business partners. Assist and/or coordinate warranty audits as requested. Assist with campaigns as requested. Perform other duties, tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management to support Volvo Penta goals and objectives. Salary: $60,000 – 63,000/year. Requirements - Bachelors or foreign degree equivalent in business administration or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years of retail or wholesale technical service and/or warranty administration experience. Special skills - 2 years of procurement, supply chain experience, repair, or related warranty experience; 2 years of process development experience; and 2 years of cross functional project management experience.
