We are now looking for Senior On-vehicle Verification Engineer to join our team.
About the job
This position works hands-on with our trucks and provides an opportunity for product knowledge and skill development. Truck driving will be a requirement to perform testing so a CDL or ability to qualify for a CDL is a requirement. We will provide CDL training for the selected applicant.
As an On-vehicle verification engineer, you will perform testing and verification of Electrical requirements, features, and functions on trucks. You may also perform compliance testing for applicable systems. You will define and plan test scopes and perform tests as per defined milestones.
You must have a basic understanding of electrical system architecture, wiring, hardware, and software to perform testing and support the development of new products. You will be involved in verification activities in complex and strategic projects but also in regular quality improvement changes.
As a vehicle tester, you will work closely with our rig verification team and other vehicle testers to continuously improve and develop new test methods. You will perform testing individually will with limited support and you are expected to work with independence, professionalism, precision, and timeliness. You will also issue the problem report and vehicle data log for the problems encountered.
Product knowledge, industry knowledge, along with a willingness to learn new technologies are highly valued in this role
- Broad technical interest combined with very good people skills and a strong belief in agile methods.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical or equivalent engineering.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in HW/SW development and testing in the trucking, transportation, or automotive industry.
- Hands-on experience with electronic test instrumentation including oscilloscopes, bus analyzers, and data loggers is also needed.
- Experience working with CANalyzer/CANoe, LIN, Ethernet/flexray
- Team Player but can work independently to reach team objectives
- Ability to drive new initiatives and development
- Good Interpersonal skills
- Able to manage multiple projects
