This is what you will do
As a cooling system engineer, you are deeply involved in the development of cooling systems and components. You are the technical interface between suppliers and projects and have a holistic approach to system design with clear understanding of customer demands. Your task is to propose the best possible technical solution for cooling system in different engine and electromobility projects. Our main project targets are within technical performance, emissions, reliability, time and cost. You work in several projects with the whole project cycle, from start projects to maintenance.
We, your 15 hopefully soon to be colleagues at the department Systems & Technology in Gothenburg are responsible for the development of performance related systems for industrial and marine propulsion system. The cooling system is one of these systems, where 4 engineers already is working. We see an increased need for cooling system development for electromobility, fuel cells and diesel engines. In close cooperation with other functions and colleagues within Volvo Penta we make sure, the development of our future products is in line with customer needs. We believe, and you should do as well, the way of reaching there is teamwork. Moreover, having fun at work.

We believe that you have both the competence and personality that will make a difference in our organisation. We are looking for a person interested in Product Development tasks in general, but preferably towards cooling systems design. You have ambitions and energy to develop yourself and the company in a way that will make a difference in our technical solutions.
As a person, you enjoy working in a team and have the ability to inspire your team colleagues and feeling engaged by goal settings. Since the job consists of an extensive net of contacts both internally and externally, your networking skills should be very good and prioritized
- Your CV should contain listed qualifications in academic degrees.
- Good skills in English and Swedish
- Swedish driver license.
- Experience from cooling system design for automotive, marine or industrial applications are of great value.
