Position –Inventory Analyst

As a Inventory Analyst you will be out in the manufacturing and logistics areas of our 1.1 million square foot facility confirming that physical and system inventories match. One of the main objectives of this role is identifying the root cause of discrepancies and finding ways to prevent them from occurring again. Another main objective of this role is to be able to develop Microsoft PowerBI dashboards, and other tools, having the ability to provide information in real time to members of the manufacturing team. Someone who can navigate systems, analyze data, and enjoys problem solving will be a great addition to our inventory control team. You will have a permanent position from day one, with a team leader to support you. In parallel, you will grow as a person, by occasionally supporting the Order and Volume Planning team using PowerBI and the creation of dashboards. In this case you would be helping that team determine and create new digitalization solutions for data analysis.

Inventory Control is a smaller team of 4 Inventory Analysts, of which this job is included. In this team we are focused on creating proactive ways to measure, manage and control our inventory to keep the accuracy at a world class level. We are always looking for new ways to be proactive and we use a continuous improvement mindset to always strive for greater accuracy of our inventory. Job Description: 

This role has several key functions. This job monitors and analyzes the impact of inventory variances on production uptime including the financial impact. For variances above a defined level, it’s a requirement for this role to complete a root cause analysis of deviation. We are actively working towards increasing our digitization capabilities, so the role requires the ability to work with Microsoft PowerBI to find relationships between multiple data sources and then create dashboards and other analytical tools. Additionally, this role requires advanced MS Excel skills to be able to create working models including charts and graphs. In our journey towards world class, we are always working to be less reactive and more proactive. This role strives to be more proactive by analyzing trends and systems to identify and resolve issue before they impact the production processes.

Required knowledge/experience
  • The ideal candidate for this position has a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing/logistics environment.
  • Driven and self-motivated individual that has a desire to learn new things.
  • Experience with data visualization tools and software.
