As the Electromobility Geometrical Architect (GA) you will be a key player in developing the electrical propulsion architecture for Volvo Group. Electromobility is developing the complete electric propulsion systems used by all Volvo Group business areas. You will join a team of architects and project managers responsible for driving the development of hardware, software, and systems in the areas of energy storage in batteries, electric motors and drive systems, electrical distribution and charging system and electric propulsion control.

Apply here!Your main responsibilities will be…… to take the lead in geometrical activities to develop and install the electrical propulsion in Volvo Group products. We deliver optimized and communalized solutions by balancing customer needs while protecting the Common Architecture Shared Technology (CAST) platform.
The main task is to verify and secure system and component integration in the applications, taking care of the interfaces between systems. You are involved in the development from the early phases and throughout the product lifetime. The development team will rely on you when it comes to gathering colleagues from around the world, to discuss and solve geometrical issues so that we, in the end, can deliver a product that can be efficiently produced, maintained, and meet our customers' expectations.
Product knowledge is a big contributor to your success as GA since the role requires the ability to see the individual components and systems come together to a complete product. A wide network will come natural as the role requires a continuous dialogue and the ability to guide and support Product Owners and Component Responsible.

Requirements:- University degree in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience within the automotive industry
- Excellent CAD knowledge and experience in Creo and PDM-link
- Fluent in English, verbally and in writing
- To appreciate structure and have strong communication skills
