Shipping and Receiving Associate

The Shipping & Receiving Associate accepts, and processes inbound and outbound products. Performs all functions related to the receipt, storage, and shipping of materials.

Responsibilities:
  • Receives incoming orders, checks for damages or missing components of shipments, and documents according to procedure
  • Ensures forklift is in good operating order and completes daily operator inspection
  • Receives, documents, and stores inbound shipments from various locations in a timely and efficient manner
  • Contribute to the achievement of company objectives through efficient use of time and resources.
  • Processes outbound shipments according to standardized procedure
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment
  • Assists with inventory management and administration
  • Participates in job-related training exercises as assigned
  • Participates in focus improvement, safety programs, and environmental initiatives
  • Foster teamwork and improves communication between co-workers, departments, and management
  • Completes assigned tasks safely, efficiently, and with a high level of quality
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • 2+ years’ experience
  • Forklift certification
Physical Demands:
  • Regularly required to work with arms and hands
  • Required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle tools/controls
  • Required to sit, climb, balance, and crouch
  • Required to lift up to 50lbs
  • Exposure to weather conditions
