Tuve plant

Located in Gothenburg, in the heart of Volvo, we produce premium heavy duty diesel, gas and electric trucks – Volvo FH (incl. Aero), Volvo FH16 (incl. Aero), Volvo FM, Volvo FMX and FML. Additionally, we produce frame members not only for ourselves but also to Ghent and our KD-plants (assembly plants).

Tuve plant is certified according to Quality ISO 9001 and Environment ISO 14001.

Our Business Areas

    • Supplies frame members to Tuve production line, Ghent and our KD plants.
    • Works four shifts, manufacturing frame members around the clock.

    Completely Built up

    • Fishbone principle production line where kitting and pre-assembly operations are carried out in close proximity to main line.
    • Process from frame member to finished truck takes just over 6 hours.
    • Produces interior trim for cabs both for Tuve’s own truck production and for our KD plants.
    • Cabs are provided from the Umeå plant, arriving to Tuve on fossil free transports.

    65% of the trucks produced at Tuve plant are highly adapted to meet specific customer requirements. Our team of customer focused designers and mechanical specialists have a lot of experience in building trucks specially designed for our customers’ needs.

     Completely Knocked Down

    Packs truck component kits for subsequent assembly in our KD assembly plants, either fully Volvo owned or joint venture. Receiving locations include South Africa, Thailand, India, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Taiwan and Iraq.

    • A regular container fits 0,8 trucks
    • We ship up to 50 containers per day during two shifts.

We’re first out – Tuve plant is the introduction plant for heavy-duty Volvo Trucks

2022 we were first out to launch the heavy-duty electric truck range in serial production. 2024 we introduce the Volvo FH Aero range.

We will operate a mixed model assembly where all drive lines and variants are produced on one and the same line.
