Job Description:

• Member of a (sub) commodity team, defining the sourcing strategy for the given (sub) commodity
• Implement sourcing strategy for its sub-commodities
• Execute related activities to support PPD
• Responsible for supplier management strategy, manage supply base (identification, evaluation and development of strategic suppliers)
• Drive QDC targets at sub commodity level and track implementation (TCO, Quality and Timing)
• Negotiate contract, containing Frame work agreements (FWA) based on our Volvo General Purchasing Conditions (VGPC), Warranty Agreements, QDC agreements
• Work out sourcing proposals for supplier nomination (compliance with commodity sourcing strategy)
• Conduct Business Reviews (meeting to review the overall supplier performance)
• Support in activities to recover warranty cost from suppliers.
• Work in accordance with Code of Conduct, the Volvo CE processes, and the Volvo values and behaviors

Required knowledge & experience:

• At least 5 -10 years working experience, preferred related experiences in manufacturing business
• Has a deep understanding of sourcing strategy process and has an holistic view on its sub-commodity issues
• Has a clear understanding and vision of current supply base evolution and supplier market trends
• Have required technical skills to understand and support the combined Purchasing and R&D strategy
• Has proven capabilities in negotiation and communication.
• Has the ability to manage on his own a whole sub-commodity
• Creative attitude, energetic and person of integrity. Achievement driven
• Fluent oral and written in English
• Team Player
