Purchasing by Volvo Group

We are Volvo Group Purchasing, and we’re interested in starting a
conversation – about how we navigate the challenging, exciting and
constantly changing landscape of purchasing.

Our Purpose

Purchasing is becoming increasingly complex and is of growing strategic importance to companies’ success. As regulations proliferate and geopolitical challenges escalate, purchasing organizations feel the weight of their responsibility. And as companies strive to establish sustainable models in various areas – mitigating climate effects, preserving resources and protecting human rights – it is abundantly clear that we need to work together.

We must share resources, learnings and methodologies.

We must join in conversations about how to navigate the changing landscape together.

That is what this page is all about – how we work, what we focus on, what guides our direction. We want to share Purchasing by Volvo Group.

Let’s start with our Compass.

About the Compass

We created the Volvo Group Purchasing Compass to complement our strategic roadmap. The Compass breaks down our strategic focus areas into more granular subtopics that help us focus our work and execute on our end-to-end responsibility as a purchasing organization, using a common language and approach. Individually, in teams, in regions and as a whole, we use the compass to map our strengths and areas for improvement. This enables an ownership mentality among our team members.
