We are currently hiring a Electromobility Technician with a starting hourly rate of $21.28/hr with the opportunity to make $30+/hr after reaching full pay progression! The Electromobility Technician will be a skilled individual who will perform cell build work. The technician will be responsible for the building the powertrain that drives the Volvo and Mack electric heavy truck line. Technicians will need to have a mechanical aptitude and basic electrical knowledge. Technicians will be required to follow work instructions for their builds, but also be able to trouble shoot and problem solve when issues arise. Adaptability will be key when a technician is performing their work. Technicians will need to be self-motivated and self-directed in their work as not everything may be completely pre-defined. Teamwork will be vitally important in this role when solving problems and continuously improving the process. Some operations may require multiple people to complete, in order for this to be successful technicians must be willing to work together as a team to accomplish the goal. A quality mindset is key in continuing to build high-quality and competitive products for our customers, the technicians will have direct impact on quality of this product.
Key Responsibilities:- Position or align components for assembly, manually or using hoists
- Perform tasks with manual dexterity and using fine motor skills (control precision, arm-hand steadiness, finger dexterity)
- Use of hand tools and power tools
- Recognizing when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong (problem sensitivity) and communicating this properly
- Practice basic electrical knowledge and using it for troubleshooting and problem-solving purposes
- Using attention to detail when working with through the process
- Putting best production practices into effect when building Emobility products
- Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to work instructions
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to all applicable policies related to safe working
What we need from you:- After successful completion of interview job related assessments will be required through on-site training center.

- Relevant work experience OR education/certifications that shows a mechanical background
- Preferred knowledge using diagnostic equipment for test or programming various control units on vehicles.
- Experience demonstrating ability to operate a computer
- Be at least 18 years of age
- A High School Diploma/GED
- To complete and pass a background check, drug screening, and medical exam

- The first 90 workdays of continuous employment shall be a probationary period
- Union position
- Shift schedules 1st 6:30AM – 2:30PM and 2nd 2:30PM – 10:30PM. Appointed to shift depending on seniority
- 1 year commitment required to the department before being eligible to transfer out
