We in the Electric and Electronics (E&E) Platform department is on an exciting and challenging journey and need to expand our team. We are now recruiting several System Engineers within different areas of expertise to help drive development and implementation of new and existing technology.
We develop and provide Volvo CE machines with Base EE system platforms used as the foundation and enabler for all electronic controlled functions and features to support connectivity, service solutions, autonomous functions, electromobility as well as machine operational functions making Volvo CE to be one of the best machines in the world. We are responsible to drive, develop and maintain our Electronic Architecture platform commonly used by all machines within Volvo CE.
About the position
Electronic & Electric system engineer
Construction Machine Electric System is rapidly evolving area with introduction of connectivity, automation and hybridization technologies. Therefor we are looking to strengthen our team of EE system engineers, for definition of EE system properties and component characterization. This role will also support the work to secure and implement solutions towards electrical and functional safety requirements. You have a passion for product development with both HW and SW then you will be in contact with electrical and electronic development with SoC design as well as programming languages such as C++, xml, bash, batch, python, and Jenkins.
The role promotes creativity, passion for technology and multi-cultural communication skills with internal/external stakeholders and suppliers.

Required qualifications
  • Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or other relevant technical field of study or equivalent practical experience
  • You are fluent in English, both written and spoken, and you either speak Swedish or you are eager to learn a new language
Beneficial qualifications
It is meritorious to have one or more of the following:
  • Experience of working with electrical and/or electronic system in the automotive industry
  • Knowledge about safety-relevant embedded system and software
  • Good understanding of robust and reliable system/software engineering/design principles
