We are now looking for Production Director for our Assembly. This position is a very important role in the Skövde Plant Organization as well as in the Skövde Plant Management Team reporting directly to the Vice President & Plant Manager.
The Assembly organization has approximately 1200 employees today. The Assembly in Skövde is one of the world's largest diesel-producing units in segments 13-16 liters.

Main activities and responsibilities for these roles
  • Manage the Assembly organization against set quality, delivery and financial targets by leading and coaching your management team
  • Continue the implementation of Volvo Production System (VPS), which means to implement standardized ways of working, develop the organization and achieve contribution from all employees
  • Be the driving force to develop the Assembly process and organization to become a benchmark within our industry
Critical competencies and experience
We are looking for a goal-oriented leader with a strong drive to deliver and have the ability to continually develop and improve the organization and its employees. Excellent communication skills are essential to be able to build networks and create trusting relationships. You believe in building a knowledge based organization with a strong teamwork as a foundation.

Demonstrating a high and solid level in each of the Volvo Group Leadership competencies for the leading leader level, the Assembly Director will be an inspiring and inclusive leader as well as an active team member.
The ideal candidate for this positions has a long experience and knowledge of the Assembly process, a University degree in relevant subject and experience from management within operations. Further, you are able to demonstrate a clear vision, a global mind-set and successful people & culture oriented leadership.
