GTO Production Logistics in India is largely represented by Operational and Development functions and employs nearly
30 employees working from four locations - Hosakote, Peenya, Bagmane Tech Park, Bengaluru and Pithampur. The major responsibility includes supporting the Volvo Group Operations in India (including Joint Venture with VECV) both on international and domestic transport; packaging solutions for inbound materials and also supports outbound product transport & transit storage yards for the Plants.
We support Volvo Trucks, Volvo Buses and Volvo Construction Equipment in India and support the Powertrain, Trucks & Bus Plants of Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles in Pithampur, besides managing the transit storage yards for Volvo CE & Volvo Penta. GTO Production Logistics also manages material exports from Indian suppliers to our overseas plants in Thailand, Japan, China, Brazil, Mexico & France.
Since 2014 we have been successfully managing the export activities for Volvo Buses to the countries like South Africa, Middle East and to Europe; exports of Volvo Construction Equipment to South Africa, Indonesia, Malaysia, North America, Singapore, Philippines, Panama and Imports of Volvo Construction Equipment from China, Korea & European Union.
