Volvo Rents Opens Newest Rental Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Volvo Construction Equipment Rents, Inc. (Volvo Rents) has announced the opening of a new rental center located in Oklahoma City, OK.

WED, LLC is locally owned and operated by Max Weldon, David Evans & David Darby. The location’s address is 8003 S. Eastern Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK 73149. In addition to Volvo construction equipment, this rental center will carry a comprehensive line of essential equipment for the construction, commercial, industrial and homeowner markets.

"We see this as a great opportunity to bring the Volvo name to the state. Volvo has a strong, well recognized brand. With our new store, we have the best of both worlds: being a locally owned business, we have the ability to respond quickly to our customer's needs, and we have the global support of an equipment name you can trust and rely on." said David Evans

In 2001, with the introduction of Volvo Construction Equipment Rents, Inc., Volvo Construction Equipment announced its history-making decision to enter the construction equipment rental business with a franchise model.  Company executives saw franchising as an ideal growth model, creating a channel to bring the expanding line of Volvo compact equipment (such as backhoe and skid steer loaders, compact wheel loaders and compact excavators) to market segments nationwide, while offering investment opportunities for local entrepreneurs in the equipment rental industry. In addition to Volvo products, our franchisees purchase products from 130+ alliance vendors with negotiated, special terms. Volvo Rents locations carry an extensive inventory of tools including light towers, generators, pumps, saws, lifts and other equipment. The focus is on daily, weekly and monthly rentals to construction, industrial, commercial and homeowner customers.

Volvo Rents’ affiliate, Volvo Financial Services (VFS), lends to qualified franchisees a comprehensive financial package including fleet financing, working capital, delivery vehicle financing and leasehold improvement financing. The amount of financing for qualified franchisees has no limit, but on average is $5 million per store. In addition, VFS continues to provide funding to existing franchisees interested in expanding their businesses. Since 2002, VFS has provided over $400 million in financing to the Volvo Rents franchise owners.

The Volvo Rents franchise program was designed by Volvo Construction Equipment and covers all aspects of an operating business model. Features include use of the Volvo brand, financial assistance, a fleet purchasing program, a Volvo Rents proprietary software program, operational support and guidance, comprehensive training in systems, sales, service, and management as well as facility design and regional and local marketing.

Volvo Rents has seventy-nine (79) equipment rental centers open in North America, eighty-nine (89) centers in Europe, three (3) rental centers in India, and one (1) in Mexico.
