Volvo unveils impressive new product line up at ConExpo 2011

Conexpo 2011 sees the global unveiling of Volvo Construction Equipment’s most innovative range of machines and services. More productive and fuel efficient and minimizing the impact on the environment – as well as easier to operate and maintain – these machines prove that the Volvo exhibit is the highlight of the show.

Following the recent announcement of a $100 million expansion of its US production facilities, Volvo Construction Equipment is pulling out all the stops at the world’s biggest construction exhibition this year – Conexpo 2011. Las Vegas will be the setting for the global premiere for the company’s fundamentally updated product range, including new generation excavators, wheel loaders, articulated haulers, backhoe loaders, motor graders, skid-steer and compact tracked loaders – and the Red Dot award winning L220G wheel loader.  But it’s not just about products; there is also a host of customer focussed solutions for every stage of the machine ownership experience.

Demonstrating very much a forward thinking agenda, Volvo is promoting its innovative engine solution that meets the requirements of the new Tier 4i (in the US) and Stage IIIB (in Europe) emissions legislation. Not only are they cleaner – using proven Volvo-Advanced Combustion Technology (V-ACT) – these reliable engines are, in many applications, more fuel efficient and powerful than the models they replace. As well as engines, transmissions, drivelines, heavy-duty axles and hydraulics in the new machines are all optimized to ensure maximum performance and reliability.

New machine bonanza
Conexpo 2011 will see over 16 machines exhibited. These include models from the new F-Series articulated hauler range, new B-Series backhoe loaders, D-Series excavators and B-Series motor graders, as well as several new generation machines from the road machinery range. As well as a central innovation area that highlights training simulators, futuristic design and Volvo’s CareTrack remote monitoring system, the Volvo display also has three feature areas devoted to customer applications.

In the Road Building zone visitors will be able to see the new G946B motor grader, the SD116D soil compactor and the MT2000 milling machine. In the Oil and Gas sector, along with the revolutionary PL3005 pipe layer, visitors will see an EC480D excavator, a BL70 backhoe loader, an ECR48C excavator and a L90 wheel loader. Finally, in the Quarry and Aggregate zone there is Volvo’s largest wheel loader, the L350, and its largest articulated hauler – the A40F – fitted with the innovative Full Suspension system.

But that isn’t the end of the machines on display. Volvo’s new skid steer loader and compact tracked loaders will be on hand to help explain the benefits of the Volvo Rents offering, while a L90F and PF4410 paver will show customers the advantages of Volvo’s remarketing scheme.

North Hall: Booth 1641
Volvo has a prominent location at Conexpo, with a centrally positioned 2,700 m² (30,000 ft²) exhibition area. Throughout the Conexpo 2011 display is evidence of Volvo’s commitment to be a total solution provider; delivering a comprehensive range of products and services that carry each machine through a long and productive life. The Volvo team is on hand to explain all the ways Volvo dealers are working with customers to improve productivity, maximize machine uptime, reduce risk and take greater control of costs. These include customer support agreements, analysis services, attachments, quick couplers, remanufactured components, Approved Used Equipment, Volvo Rents and services offered by Volvo Financial Services.

Emphasizing the size, strength and breadth of the Volvo Group, Volvo Construction Equipment is joined at the show by sister company, Volvo Penta – who is presenting its own advanced solutions to meet the requirements of the EU and US emissions legislation.

Volvo Construction Equipment comes to the industry’s biggest show this year with greater confidence than ever before. This positive outlook is based on a strengthening reputation for providing total customer solutions and arguably the most innovative fleet of products and services on the market. All in all, Las Vegas’s only must-visit attraction.

Ends.
