Volvo’s Pre-Paid Maintenance Plans Help Customers Manage Costs

Volvo Trucks North America has introduced pre-paid preventive maintenance plans as part of the company’s ongoing effort to reduce customers’ operating costs. The maintenance plans cover all model year 2011 and newer Volvo models powered by Volvo D11, D13 or D16 engines and align with the new service intervals announced earlier this year.

Volvo Premium Maintenance Plans are pre-paid contracts that offer numerous levels of coverage, locking in current parts and labor rates and increasing customer control of maintenance expenses. In addition to three specified plans ranging from basic oil changes and 74-point inspections to more in-depth maintenance, Volvo customers can create custom plans of varying scope and duration to fit their specific needs. The plans also offer the option to include service of the aftertreatment system, transmission and chassis.

Customers who purchase a Volvo Premium Maintenance Plan can schedule maintenance at any Volvo dealership in the U.S. and Canada through Volvo Action Service, Volvo’s staff of seasoned uptime experts that provides 24/7 support, offering more flexibility while on the road. Volvo Premium Maintenance Plans can be purchased through Volvo dealers.

“Volvo is always looking for opportunities to help protect the customer’s investment,” said Magnus Gustafson, director of service contracts and workshop solutions. “By proactively focusing on service, we help keep the customer on the road by routinely placing the care of their truck in the hands of highly trained Volvo technicians.”

The new program is Volvo’s latest effort to help customers control maintenance costs. Earlier this year, the company announced new recommended maintenance intervals that added 10,000 miles to the previous life of an oil change for model year 2011 and newer Volvo trucks equipped with Volvo engines.
