Volvo Trucks’ Remote Diagnostics services enable proactive diagnostics and repair planning, as well as software and parameter updates, to maximize uptime for customers.

“We have exciting new updates to showcase at this year’s TMC show including a significant update to our Remote Programming services,” said Ash Makki, product marketing manager, Volvo Trucks North America. “Volvo Trucks offers best-in-class Uptime Services to our customers and we are proud to display our truck models and components, and highlight the latest in connectivity features for our customers at the TMC show.”

The Volvo Trucks models on display at TMC are equipped with Remote Diagnostics, a service that monitors fault codes on all Volvo engines, transmissions and aftertreatments, and enables proactive diagnostics and repair planning to maximize uptime.

Additionally, Remote Programming, as part of the Remote Diagnostics service bundle, provides significant time savings when compared to taking trucks out of service to perform needed updates and parameter changes. To date, Remote Programming has already added thousands of days of uptime while increasing truck performance.

Remote Diagnostics is a central component of Volvo Trucks’ Uptime Services, which includes 24/7 support from Volvo Action Service at Volvo Trucks’ Uptime Center in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Furthermore, as part of Volvo Trucks’ Uptime Services offerings, the new dynamic maintenance service further expands its partnership with Noregon Systems and opens up new capabilities with vehicle telematics. The new service uses existing connected technologies and data analytics, combined with Noregon’s platform, to enable customized service plans to improve fleet operations efficiency. It allows a more accurate approach to planned maintenance needs, and replaces traditional ‘set-mileage scheduled’ service appointments.

“Volvo Trucks’ connected solutions bring increased vehicle uptime and decreased emissions, reducing environmental footprints,” said Makki. “We continuously expand our current connectivity solutions while investigating new technologies using real-data insights to increase our capabilities and offer the best and most advanced choices to our customers.”
