Volvo Trucks recognizes Mid-Ontario Truck Centre as 2025 Canadian Dealer of the Year

Volvo Trucks North America has named Mid-Ontario Truck Centre as its 2025 Canadian Dealer of the Year, recognizing the family-owned dealer group for exceptional performance across a number of areas, including sales, customer satisfaction, and parts sales performance. Mid-Ontario Truck Centre has demonstrated consistent leadership within the Volvo Trucks dealer network and was presented with the award during Volvo Trucks’ annual dealer awards dinner in Las Vegas, where the company celebrated top-performing dealers throughout the North American market. The annual Dealer of the Year awards recognize dealers that play a critical role in supporting fleet uptime and customer success across the Volvo Trucks network.

“Mid-Ontario Truck Centre exemplifies what it means to be a Volvo Trucks dealer,” said Matthew Blackman, managing director, Canada, Volvo Trucks North America. “Their leadership in sales performance, commitment to customer support, and record-setting sales of the all-new Volvo VNL demonstrate a deep understanding of their customers’ needs and a strong alignment with the Volvo Trucks brand.”

Raising the bar for Volvo Trucks dealers in Canada

Founded in 1994 as Mid-Ontario Mack, the organization welcomed the Volvo Trucks product line in 2002, earning the distinction of Canada’s first dual Mack and Volvo dealer, and officially became Mid-Ontario Truck Centre. Since then, the dealership has grown steadily and today operates three full-service locations and two additional service-only locations across Ontario and the Greater Toronto area, offering truck sales, parts and service, financing and rental and leasing solutions. As a family-owned business, Mid-Ontario Truck Centre remains deeply committed to long-term customer relationships and operational excellence.

Mid-Ontario Truck Centre leads the Canadian market in sales of the all-new Volvo VNL, securing the largest order of Volvo’s next-generation flagship truck in Canada. The milestone underscores the dealership’s close partnerships with customers and its ability to support fleets as they adopt Volvo’s most advanced, driver-focused, and fuel-efficient equipment.

“Being named Volvo Trucks’ Canadian Dealer of the Year is a tremendous honor and a testament to our team’s unwavering focus on customer satisfaction,” said John Costa, General Manager of Mid-Ontario Truck Centre. “Every decision we make is centered on helping our customers succeed through reliable service, knowledgeable support, and access to the right equipment for their operations. We’re proud to represent the Volvo Trucks brand and grateful for the trust our customers place in us every day.”
