Mack Trucks today announced its partnership with Beck Industrial to integrate the Beck Intelligent Mixer and new Mack® Granite® cab through Mack GuardDog® Connect. Mack made the announcement during the Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC) Annual Meeting, March 16-19, at the Music City Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

“At Mack Trucks, our goal is to provide customers with timely intelligence that helps them operate their business more effectively,” said Ashish Sadhu, Mack Trucks services director. “By extending GuardDog Connect to integrate the body with the truck, we are delivering a more complete, end-to-end solution. Our collaboration with Beck Industrial is one of the first steps in integrating mixer bodies into the Mack connected ecosystem, with additional integrations planned in the future.”

The ability to integrate with the Beck Intelligent Mixer will be available on the all-new Mack Granite model, launched March 2 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Las Vegas, Nevada. The new Granite features a redesigned cab, advanced safety technologies and new driver-focused features developed specifically for demanding vocational applications.

Based in Converse, Texas, Beck Industrial is one of the world’s leading mixer manufacturers. Through the integration, GuardDog Connect can receive and process key operational data from the mixer body, including information related to the drum, chute, hopper, bridge axle, lighting systems, controls and display.

“At Beck Industrial, innovation has always been driven by the needs of our customers,” said Nick Navarette, engineering manager at Beck Industrial. “Integrating the Beck Intelligent Mixer Control platform with Mack GuardDog Connect allows us to leverage Mack's connected service solutions while giving operators greater visibility, efficiency and confidence in their equipment. We’re proud to be an innovation leader in our vocation and to deliver practical solutions for our customers. This collaboration with Mack is a strong example of that.”

GuardDog Connect, Mack’s integrated telematics platform, pulls Beck Industrial’s Intelligent Mixer information through Mack’s Body Link IV interface on the Granite and delivers insights to drivers in the cab and to fleet managers through Mack Connect, Mack ASIST, or email notifications based on fleet preferences. This enables fleets to monitor both the truck and mixer body through a single connected environment and respond quickly when action is required.

Mack Connect serves as a centralized platform for fleet management, bringing together Mack OneCall, GuardDog Connect, over-the-air (OTA) updates and operational reporting into a single interface. Fleets can view vehicle health, key operational data and service information in one place, helping them identify potential issues earlier and maintain better visibility across their operations. This integration represents an important step in Mack’s broader strategy to expand connected services beyond the base vehicle and to be a total transportation solution provider. By integrating vocational bodies such as mixers directly into the Mack connected platform, fleets gain a more unified view of the entire working system – truck and body together.
