Operated by Superior Metal Transportation Inc., Clinton Aluminum currently leases 17 Mack trucks, 14 of which are the Mack MD7 model. Clinton Aluminum delivers aluminum and stainless steel to companies that produce products for defense, transportation, medical, marine, truck and trailer and multiple other applications.
Brechbuhler Truck Sales, based in Canton, Ohio, supports Clinton Aluminum.
“Our drivers love the comfort and safety of the Mack trucks,” said Mike Reale, shipping manager for Clinton Aluminum. “It is their office when on the road. We drive as a fleet around 1,600,000 miles a year, and the Mack trucks are dependable and powerful to haul the weight of our product. Easy access to all the controls in the cab is a plus, keeping our drivers’ eyes on the road. The plan here is to move the whole fleet to Mack. And Brechbuhler has made it an easy process.”
Clinton Aluminum has two metal distribution facilities – one in Norton, Ohio, and one in Janesville, Wisconsin. The company also has hubs with drivers in Carnegie, Pennsylvania; Jamestown, Ohio; Melvindale, Michigan; Sturgis, Michigan; and Roberts, Wisconsin. Clinton Aluminum offers plate saw, large diameter circle and ring, waterjet, hi-def plasma, bar and rod saw cutting, as well as shearing, packaging and shipping for its customers.
Clinton Aluminum first leased the Mack MD7 in 2020.
“When a customer like Clinton Aluminum is hauling heavy materials every day, power and performance is of the utmost priority,” said Gregory Stohler, Mack vice president of leasing, rentals and medium-duty vehicles. “Our MD7 model fulfills that need with its strong performance, along with comfort and safety features that drivers depend on. We’re proud to support Clinton Aluminum as they expand their Mack lineup and work toward an all-Mack fleet.”
The Mack MD Series is a model range built specifically for medium-duty applications. Available in 4x2 configurations, the MD6 and MD7 models feature a sharp wheel cut for enhanced maneuverability for tough urban settings. The MD Series cab was updated in 2025 to include a larger cab with a bumper-to-back-of-cab (BBC) measurement of 107 inches, providing industry-leading comfort.
The Mack MD7, a Class 7 model, has a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of 33,000 pounds, and the MD6, a Class 6 model, has a GVWR of 25,995 pounds. Both models are exempt from the 12 percent Federal Excise Tax (FET). The MD6 model does not require a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) to operate for non-hazardous payloads.
