Sustainability & Circularity Manager

Position Overview:

As the Sustainability Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing our sustainability strategy across all aspects of our operations. You will collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement, establish sustainability goals, and spearhead initiatives that align with our commitment to environmental stewardship and social responsibility. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in the automotive industry by leading sustainable practices that will shape a greener future.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sustainability strategy that aligns with the company's vision and values.
  • Identify key environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues relevant to the automotive industry and develop action plans to address them.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainable practices into all areas of the business, including supply chain management, product development, manufacturing, and logistics.
  • Lead efforts to measure, track, and report sustainability metrics and KPIs to monitor progress and ensure transparency.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to sustainability, and incorporate them into the company's strategy and operations.
  • Drive employee engagement and awareness through training programs, workshops, and communication campaigns to foster a culture of sustainability.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and industry associations, to drive collaboration and advocate for sustainable practices.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to develop sustainability messaging and initiatives that enhance the company's reputation as a leader in sustainability.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, sustainability, business administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in developing and implementing sustainability strategies within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of environmental regulations, standards, and certifications, such as ISO 14001 and carbon footprinting.
  • Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks and experience in preparing sustainability reports.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive informed decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Passion for sustainability and a genuine commitment to driving positive change in the automotive industry.
