To be able to answer to your friends asking you – what do you do to save our earth?
: “I’m working on it each and every single day at Volvo Group"
Without the products and services of the Volvo Group there can be no modern society like we know it. Like a blood flow, our trucks, buses, boat engines and construction equipments are involved in many of the functions that most of us rely on every day. We need then to act now and secure that their emissions and consumption will continue to decline over years in order to limit the environment impact.
As well, because Volvo group is a great group to grow in, and we love to get on board simple, positive people who have understood that we can work on very serious topics keep smiling. Our worldwide dimension offers a unique chance to work and grow in a truly multicultural environment. Volvo group is a caring organization where you will find a very good team spirit. You will never be alone to solve issues. We are facing problems together and we succeed jointly.
Now the Volvo Group needs to take on board a new member within Powertrain Engineering Software team. You will be part of a cross-functional team using agile principles where autonomy, collaboration and ‘will do’ attitude is essential.
As a Software application engineer in the combustion domain you will be part of many aspects of development and implementation of embedded software functions. You will use modern model based development tools (Targetlink/Matlab/Simulink) where automatic code generation and continuous integration will allow for fast feedback and short development loops.
You and the team will understand the legal and customer requirements, will design and implement a robust software solution and do the verification of the logic. You will work on internal combustion engines and new driveline concepts, such as hydrogen internal combustion engines and renewable fuels.
A working day can be both software development in front of the computer, as well as testing your developed functionality in engine test cell and even vehicle!
Who are you?
We believe that you :
