Volvo Buses

Volvo Buses in India has built a leading experience when it comes to high-performing bus applications since 2001. Volvo Buses has been driving the change in the industry introducing various firsts in India – including the true-bus chassis concept; the low-floor city bus concept; multi-axle coaches; the first Hybrid Bus in India among a host of other technologies and solutions.
 

With its state-of-the-art factory and overall profile of being a complete transport solutions provider, Volvo Buses is closely entwined with the progress of the Indian Bus Industry.
 

Over 6,000 Volvo buses operate on Indian roads, providing the best travel experience in terms of safety, luxury and comfort to people. Volvo coaches today connect major cities across India. Volvo Construction Equipment

Volvo CE started its journey in India in 1998 largely with Wheel Loaders and Artics. A few years later, we introduced Excavators to the Indian market to match the rising demand in the construction and infrastructure sector.


Today we have our footprint in all major segments – be it Excavators, Pavers, Haulers or Compactors, supported by our distribution network of 15 dealerships, 800+ dealer employees and 84 outlets that will prepare us to meet the growing needs of the nation.

Volvo Penta

Volvo Penta, has been offering comprehensive solutions in India since 1995 before any other Volvo Group business started operations. With more than 20 years of experience in providing complete power systems for boats, vessels and industrial applications, today we are closely supported by our dealers spread across more than 85 service points offering comprehensive business solutions that truly make a difference.


Our initial offering in India started with engines for Genset application at a time when OEMs were directly importing them. Today our engines can be found in segments like mining and construction, material handling, agriculture as well as special vehicles. Besides on land we are also present at sea in marine commercial applications for professional operators. By choosing Volvo Penta products, our customers gain the advantage of proven technology and benefits in areas such as uptime, economy, flexibility and emission engineering.

SDLG

In 2006, Volvo Group signed a JV agreement with SDLG (Shandong Lingong Construction Machinery Co., Ltd), introducing them to India in 2008. To begin with, we introduced two models of Wheel Loader with limited application and customization to meet India’s requirement including BS III emission norms. Today, our SDLG machines are widely used at Ports, Quarries and for Coal loading, Log handling, lime stone and for many other applications.


Through 2015 we expanded our product offerings and introduced Motor Graders. In India, SDLG benchmarked its name in the India Construction Equipment Market and has gained a good market share in the Value segment. Today, with our products, our customers have experienced high reliability and enjoyed great value for their construction needs.

Eicher Trucks And Buses

VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd. is a joint venture between the Volvo Group (Volvo) and Eicher Motors Limited (EML) since 2008. VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd. (VECV) comprises five business verticals – Eicher Trucks and Buses, Volvo Trucks India, Eicher Engineering Components and VE Powertrain.


Eicher Trucks and Buses (ETB) is present in the Light/Medium Duty segment with a strong presence in the 5T-12T truck segment. Eicher’s new Pro series trucks and buses promise to deliver best-in-class fuel efficiency, higher loading capacity and superior uptime.


Eicher Trucks also presents its real heavy duty truck - Pro 8000 series which is designed, developed and tested with a strong collaboration between VECV and Volvo Group with a vision to provide premium experience and also deliver a desired value to the customers in the tough construction and mining applications.
