Over the last three editions of the ExcelHer returnship program, we have successfully engaged 90+ women interns who found these opportunities valuable and have helped them get back on the fast track to career success.

This paid nine-month program allows women aspirants to hone their professional skills, fulfill their career aspirations, and facilitate the transition of re-joining the workplace on a full-time basis. ExcelHer provides an opportunity to join as full-time employees after the internship, based on their performance and relevant & available positions.

Returning to work after a long absence can be daunting for women. Meanwhile, our ExcelHer batch was hungry to prove themselves. All we needed was some confidence to rebuild our skills. Volvo has offered well-curated learning programs and information on accessing the latest technologies and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams. And we were all set and good to handle projects from day one!
I was excited when I enrolled in this program; even though i had a break for 6.5 years, I wasn't concerned about my return because my return ship was with Volvo. From the very first day, I felt welcomed and encouraged by my superiors, peers, and colleagues. Now I am more confident and proud of being an integral part of the Volvo Group! This shows how well the program was executed.
I am delighted to be part of the ExcelHer Program, and I must congratulate Volvo Group for introducing this initiative. I got my wings back to fly with Volvo. During my returnship program, everyone made me feel comfortable, and I never felt that I had a career break. Today I'm empowered to perform my role with a clear responsibility.
Through ExcelHer, I got the opportunity to test the waters before diving into the deep end, which would have been nerve-racking after a six-year break. A plethora of learning opportunities and a supportive team were critical in instilling confidence in me. It has been an incredible six months since I joined, and I enjoy every moment of my new journey.
I took a break in my career to look after the elderly at home. Later, I decided to return to work and found an opportunity with Volvo through ExcelHer. I am impressed by the learning opportunities offered by Volvo Group University that focus on building trust, instilling a growth mindset that helps people strengthen themselves.
