Are you eager to grow both professionally and personally and want to engage in a meaningful exchange of ideas, with a focus on supporting more women in technology? Then the global #tecHER Mentorship Program is perfect for you!

We have over 30 successful executive mentors within the Volvo Group who we’ll thoughtfully match mentees with, based on shared technical backgrounds and goals.

As a mentee, you’ll receive valuable insights, advice, and support tailored to your aspirations for a cycle of 9 months.

Our program is primarily designed for women working outside the Volvo Group. As a mentee, you’ll receive valuable insights, advice, and support tailored to your aspirations.

Who can participate?

Our #tecHER exclusive Mentorship Program is designed to provide invaluable guidance, support and an opportunity for dialogue with distinguished mentors who are senior leaders in Volvo Group, offering personalized advice and insights. It is open for female applicants who are employed outside of the Volvo Group. Applications close on May 24th.

How it works:

  1. Apply today
    Begin by filling out the application form - applications are open between 5 May until 24 May – and tell us a bit about yourself, which areas you’d like mentoring in, and what you think you would gain from this opportunity. By applying to the Mentorship Program you are automatically added to the #tecHER community and you will receive regular newsletters with relevant content and job openings.
     
  2. Get matched with the right mentor 
    We will carefully match mentors who are professionals in their domains to mentees who are looking for guidance in respective/similar areas. 

Once we receive your application our team will carefully select the lucky mentee candidates and match you with a suitable mentor, based on their preferences and goals.

 

Your mentoring journey

  1. By the second week of July you will get feedback about the outcome of the application. If you are one of the selected candidates for this edition, you will be contacted with details on how to initiate your mentorship relationship. We’ll provide guidance on setting up your first meeting with your mentor and making the most of your time together.
  2. You will benefit from 6 to 8 mentoring sessions of 60-90 minutes via Microsoft Teams over a 9 month period. The duration, frequency and agenda of your sessions will be decided together with your mentor.
  3. In addition to one 2 one sessions with your mentor, you will have access to group sessions together with the other mentees on career developmental topics.

Throughout the program, we’re here to support you. If you have any questions or need assistance, you’ll have a contact you can connect with directly. 

What if I am not chosen in this edition?

The #tecHER Mentorship Program is an exclusive initiative where senior leaders commit for 9 months to share their valuable time with their mentee. This is a way for them to receive insights too and contribute to empower more women in tech.

After the success of the first mentorship program, we’re glad to offer in this second edition 20 places (TBC). We expect to receive hundreds of applications and should you not be chosen this time, you will receive our monthly #tecHER newsletter , which is a great place to find advice and inspiration and get connected with the #tecHER community.
