Registration is now open for the one-hour webinar, entitled “The Clean Secret Behind Diesel,” which will debut at 2:00 pm EDT on Tuesday, Sept. 29. Expert speakers will address the subject and questions related to diesel engines complying with the Environmental Protection Agency’s Tier 4 Final clean air standards, with a special focus on microgrid applications.
Attendees will learn:
• EPA Tier 4 Final emission standards
• Myths vs. facts regarding Tier 4 Final diesels
• Benefits of EPA-compliant diesel-based power generation systems
Speakers include: Chris Ellis, executive vice president for distributed infrastructure at PowerSecure; Darren Tasker, vice president of industrial for Volvo Penta of the Americas; and Jim McDonald, director of environmental impact at Miratech. The moderator will be Elisa Wood, energy journalist and editor-in-chief of Microgrid Knowledge. A live Q&A will take place after conclusion of the presentation.
“Despite the proven results of Tier 4 Final power solutions – particularly from an overall cost of ownership, reliable operation and emissions standpoint – questions still remain in the marketplace,” said Tasker. “With this webinar, we aim to educate operators on the overall benefits of a simple, reliable Tier 4 Final package such as the one Volvo Penta and PowerSecure together deliver.”
“The Tier 4 Final diesel engine is a thoroughly proven technology and has been widely deployed as a highly efficient, safe and flexible power source,” said Ellis.
